Sometimes life gets hard. Unresolved pain has a way of catching up to us. You may know that something needs to change but don't fully understand what's holding you back. I believe that long term successes and lasting solutions do not come from quick fixes. There are often deeper, unconscious reasons for the obstacles at play in our lives. Depth therapy can offer greater awareness and connection to yourself so that you can find your path through this.
I provide depth therapy to adults on a variety of issues but focus especially on trauma, issues within relationships, and anxiety or depression. As a trained and specialized Depth and Attachment based therapist, my focus is to help you create the most knowledge, connection, and security within yourself as you move through any obstacle.
Your connection to your therapist is arguably the number one indicator of success in your therapy work. So, each person's need for connection follows them into the therapeutic relationship with me as their therapist as well. To compliment the theories I use, my work is also highly relational. It is not only important to me that I to listen to you, but equally so that I also engage with your message throughout each session. Sessions will become a space for you to talk about anything that you need to alongside someone who's active and genuine.

Dealing with daily symptoms of anxiety or depression is exhausting and defeating. Breathing techniques and thinking positively aren't always the answer for everyone. I am not a behavioral therapist, so I do not try to give you magic tools to fix your symptoms, leaving you to feel like an anomaly when they don't help to solve your symptoms overtime. I understand that anxiety and depression are conditions that are not cured but managed and treated, and believe that true symptom reduction happens through deep understanding of the self, experiences, body and brain.

How often do you find yourself thinking or even believing negative, critical things about yourself? We intake a lot of messages through our experiences and the world, sometimes harmful; shame can be one of those messages. Shame tells you that you're bad or unworthy and can settle deep within you for extended periods. Self-compassion is known as the antidote to shame, but not many of us are taught how to understand and support ourselves in compassionate ways. Often we can offer compassion to those that we love around us, but shame tells us we can't extend that same love to ourselves as well. I specialize in working with people who have learned to believe that they are not valuable, unlovable, or incapable. Self-compassion work can be transformative in separating yourself from shame and finding connection to your innate worthiness as a person.
When something deeply disturbing or distressing happens to you, sometimes you can't just "get over" it. You may find yourself dealing with continuous issues that can stick with you all day or come over you like a wave, leaving you to feel out of control with your body or mind, pulled back in time, or greatly insecure within yourself. My focus in trauma treatment is to help people deeply understand these mental, emotional, and physical effects they are experiencing and learn how to better cope and manage life alongside them through new ways of being.

Your relationship is one of the most important parts of your life, so when issues arise you don't want to spend one more day feeling disconnected from the person who you love most. I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help couples identify harmful patterns, meet each other's needs, and communicate powerfully to restore connection. I am specially trained and supervised in EFT approaches and find this work to be immensely transformative for couple's overcoming disconnection.
