Trauma can be treated, and your distress can be greatly reduced
We are the expert in our own life; we hold the responsibility and ability to make the changes that we wish to see in ourselves
Our early experiences and primary relationships inform us throughout our lifetime
Humans are relational, connective beings who thrive in secure bonds with safe, reliable others; life issues or disorders arise when secure bonds do not occur, are lost, or threatened
The unconscious part of our mind is powerful and influences us immensely, even without our initial awareness
The human brain has neuroplasticity and can be rewired; the way we think, feel, and act can change in positive, beneficial ways
Emotions are highly important and informative; one can positively shape their life with how they understand their emotions

I focus on working with individual adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, and relationship or family issues. Clients I see ultimately want to better understand themselves, their relationships, and progress through stuck feelings or experiences. You might have goals of where you'd like to be, or ideas of what you'd like to feel in the future, but often feel lost on how to get there or what your obstacles are.
I am an attachment, EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy), and psychodynamic based therapist. My clients learn to build strong connection to the self through deep exploration and processing of their lives. In my experience the attachment model, along with some incorporation of other therapies, offers clients great symptom reduction and clarity in their lives.
