I come to my position as a therapist from a medical background. I hold clinical mental health experience in rural county mental health and in eating disorder centers, treating folks therapeutically from all backgrounds, and with a wide variety of diagnoses and struggles.
My work now in private practice focuses on working with individuals who want to face current life issues, heal from past experiences, and build stronger relationships with themselves and with those most important to them. I welcome all to my practice. I am a HAES (Health At Every Size) and body positive practitioner.
I would describe my style of therapy as highly relational, which means that I don't just listen and validate, instead I am engaging and active with you and your thoughts throughout each session to do more depth based and reparative work.
During your time working with me you should expect to feel kind, engaging, and genuine support. I hope to offer reflection and challenge towards unhelpful patterns in your life, as well as collaborative, explorative guidance and planning to make the changes you wish to see in yourself.
Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Attachment Theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic Theories, Person Centered (Rogerian) Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Foundational beliefs about life and obstacle from these theories are:
I accept OHP Yamhill Community Care Organization (YCCO), OHP Medicaid "Open Card", and Providence insurances. Typically these insurances cover 100% of sessions. Providence can require a copay depending on which plan you may have.
I also accept HSA cards as payment.
Otherwise, my "out-of-pocket" fee is $225 for 50 minute individual sessions.
I can provide a detailed receipt called a Superbill for those with out-of-network coverage by their insurance. Check with your insurance to see if you have these benefits, where you can receive reimbursement for sessions you have paid for.
