I continue to seek training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples counseling. At times I have openings for monogamous couples looking for support during emotionally distressing or disconnected times. I work especially well with couples who find themselves in relational crisis or at a crossroad.
I come to my position as a therapist from a medical background. I started as a therapist in rural county mental health where I worked as a generalist seeing people from all kinds of backgrounds hoping to focus on a wide variety of obstacles.
I still maintain my generalist roots. I love to work with people from all walks of life who want to figure it out and feel better alongside someone else who truly believes in and knows a thing or two about positive life changes.
I've been trained in many theories and approach each person and session with the understanding that life is ever shifting, problems are complex, and one size does not fit all. Some things however do remain the same:
My work is highly relational. I don't just listen, I also engage with you and your ideas throughout each session.
During your time working with me you should expect to feel kind, engaging, genuine support and reflection, as well as collaborative, explorative guidance and planning.
Attachment theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic Theories, Person Centered or Rogerian Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Dialectical Behavior (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment (ACT) therapies.
Foundational beliefs about life and obstacle from these theories are:
$150 per 50 minute individual or couple therapy session
I accept Yamhill Community Care Organization - YCCO OHP insurance.
I am able to accept HSA cards for payment for therapy sessions.
Sometimes insurance plans offer you "Out-Of-Network" coverage reimbursement. I am happy to provide a detailed receipt for your services referred to as a "Superbill" for you to submit to your insurance, if that is a benefit that your insurance provides to you. I encourage you to connect with your insurance provider to confirm if you're eligible for these benefits.
