I come to my position as a therapist from a medical background, and hold clinical experience in rural county mental health and in Eating Disorder centers treating folks therapeutically from all backgrounds and with a wide variety of diagnoses and issues.
My work now in private practice focuses on working with individuals and couples who want to build stronger relationships with themselves and those most important around them. I continue training in psychodynamic theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and behavioral therapies like ACT and CBT to support this work.
As a therapist I am highly relational; I don't just listen, I also engage with you and your ideas throughout each session. Everyone is welcome in my practice, I support the LGBTQ+ community and am a HAES (Health At Every Size), Body positive practitioner.
During your time working with me you should expect to feel kind, engaging, genuine support, reflection, and challenge, as well as collaborative, explorative guidance and planning.
